Remember when we went to see the hippies play with fire? Same technique, adjust aperture and ISO to expose for the flame, then fiddle with the shutter speed. I didn't have time to dial things in so I took a guess on the settings and bracketed my shutter speed, adjusting as necessary. To see the exif data from the set: http://www.fluidr.com/photos/ellarsee/sets/72157629678122869/with/6874052234/ If you want to see what's there besides the sparks, this is one case where automatic exposure on the flash comes in very handy, the trick is to use trailing shutter flash. There were a couple frames where I took advantage of the K-5s dynamic range to pull the background out of the dark. > -- Larry Colen [email protected] sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
