I'm anxious to hear the shutter on the K20D, myself. The K-x and K100D sound completely different, so I assume the K20 will have its own sound as well.

More than anything, though, I'm anxious to see how it performs with fast primes like my K 50/1.4 & A 50/1.7 and I'm sure the other cameras could use a rest, too.

Lately, I've taken to having the K20D handy with a lens mounted. The beautiful

There is just "something" about the capable K20 and its crisp clean shutter
sound that draws me back from time to time. Too good to lay idle.

Ha! Thanks, Kenneth!

As I understand it, you have to get the cameras /before/ the woman --
otherwise, it becomes an either/or proposition.

I'm really looking forward to taking the K20D out for a few hundred clicks as
soon as I get my hands on it. I'm sure it'll more than fulfill any photographic
need I could possibly have for the foreseeable future.

Sounds more like you need a woman than the K20D !<VBG> ENJOY

I've had my K20D since they first came out and it remains my primary body, with
a K10D as backup. I've resisted the urge to go after the latest offerings from
Pentax as the 20D fulfills my needs. Now if a better AF Pentax DSLR came
along....

Well, you're an exceptionally jaded and cynical person who long ago allowed
reality to throttle every last bit of poesy from your being.

Me? I am a defiant romantic.

So, I'm now gazing longingly out the window in anticipation of the imminent
arrival of said fine piece of photographic equipment, dreaming the dreams of a
lovelorn photographer whose yet unrequited love sits on a shelf awaiting
delivery to its ultimate destination -- perhaps destiny itself.

Bring on the upstart models bristling with lighting rigs clutched to their
supple breasts, and all of the earth's most enchanting flora and fauna,
perpetually frozen in fortuitous poses as though born between the pages of a
photograph album.
