Looks like a pretty nice lens. I bid a couple times but dropped out;
I’d go a couple hundred if I weren’t reasonably well covered in the
wide-angle space. If you’ve got a wide-angle hole in your lens
spectrum, this might be a good choice. -T

i can vouch for this lens model; i've had one for 10 days (it was $130 shipped, not minty, but excellent, with a metal hood and a high quality filter, via pentaxforums), and i really enjoy it

it's intended to accompany my A 50/1.7 as my basic everyday pair of lenses, but it hasn't come off the camera yet; color is a little different from my 50, but not in a bad way; i haven't dissected the IQ but it seems pretty good; "macro" is only 1:4, but very useful; it's a very nice lens to use if manual-focus/auto-aperture works for you

it took me a couple of months to find one at a good price — i was also considering an Adaptall 24/2.5 01B or 01BB (i've got a PK/A adapter); i did buy an 01B on eBay ($110 total), but it came with a very sluggish aperture mechanism so i sent it back for a refund; barely got to use it but i like the focus ring of the Sigma better

sorry if someone was ready to snipe this one (but i didn't broach it)
