Hi Team:
I had an eye doctor appointment today, and, of course, had to run
through a battery of tests--one of which was photographing the back
of my eyeballs. A highly specialized Canon EOS camera was attached
to another piece of equipment which was rolled close to my eye. Then
a frame was taken, and flash was used. All the digital images were
then sent to an lightbox-like screen. I couldn't believe I was
looking at the back of my two eyeballs. Very interesting. When I
sat down, I joked, "Not a Pentax? Hoya once owned Pentax, ya know."
The doctor was only slightly amused.
Cheers, Christine/Chicago
Chances are excellent you were looking at your retinas from the front of
your eyeballs, thru your cornea and lenses.
I'm assuming that since, for them to look at the BACK of your eyeballs,
where the optic nerve exits, they would have had to come in thru the
back of your head!!!
I do hope they pronounced your retinas clear and healthy...
Keith Whaley <== whose retinas are a mess, what with somewhat advanced
macular degeneration. Sighhh. That's why I don't post images to this
list. Oh well... Be well! :-D
