Each shot stands alone, but together they juxtspose wonderfully. Spring is such
a dichotomy: in some ways dirty, brown and dismal, in others sunny and
colourful and filled with hope.

You've captured both sides of this season beautifully.

Cheers,
frank

Subject: GESO - Images of Early Spring

Two 6x7 shots from early and late March:

or

http://www.markcassino.com/b2evolution/index.php/

First shot taken on Kodak Ektar with the SMC 67 55 f4. I added vignette
since that fine lens would never do that... I don't care much for the
Ektar though I still have a 5 roll pack left over from fall. It seems to
compress the color tonality, but it is very sharp.

Second is on Fuji Reala with the SMC Takumar 105 f 2.4, wide open. It
was a throw away shot just to wrap up the last frame on the roll before
calling it quits, but turned out to be the best shot of the bunch. I
almost never use that lens wide open.

I'm assuming that Fuji will be around longer than Kodak, and while I
prefer Portra I'm guessing Reala will become a mainstay film for me in
the future.
