I agree.

Rotating it further so that I can cut out the ULH corner entirely doesn't seem 
to give things enough "breathing room".

As I said, I prefer my original crop.

Rick, Make this photo a square and just keep in the legs of the man
who is walking next to the lady on the left. The man in the stripped
is looking at the walkers. Most of the interaction is in the circle.
Let the viewers of the photograph wonder who the stripped shirt man
