He may have been a decedent of one of Pavlov's salivating dogs.

Subject: PESO: Next comes the drool


I came across this old photo of my dog Bear, since deceased, showing some of 
the patience my obedience training  had on him. He could hold this pose for a 
few minutes, start to drool and eventually I'd release him to have the treat at 
which time he'd snap his nose up, open his jaws and enjoy the biscuit.

The photo has no photographic value (a rather soft shot) but it does a good job 
of capturing his ability.
