Thanks for asking, Rick. Depends were not really needed in Nebraska after all. We got severe weather, but none of the "strong, long-track tornadoes" promised. Kansas and Oklahoma verified, but it was really a blown forecast as far as Nebraska was concerned. The SPC said that the surface low would track into Nebraska, but by sundown it was still in SE Colorado.
That being said, we chased with success although it took a lot more patience. We positioned ourselves near what looked like the best conditions and finally a little cell showed up on radar near Norton, KS with a vector right toward us. It continued to grow and became a decent supercell. We met up with it near Oxford, Nebraska where it was putting down some promising looking wall clouds. So we pulled over, got out our gear and watched. We didn't have to wait long. The tornado that we observed was pretty brief. I also have the whole thing on video, from birth to death. A couple shots of the "elephant trunk" tornado. The village of Oxford is obscuring the ground/contact point, unfortunately.
