Thanks for the feedback.  

I've had a lot of success framing tighter than one would normally expect to, in 
large part because I usually use a prime and don't always get to choose my 
distance to the extent that I'd like.  You bring up the good point that I 
should also work with a bit looser of framing.  One thing that using the big 
strobe let me do was use my 18-250.  There was enough light that I could stop 
it down enough that it was reasonably sharp, so I could have framed them a bit 
looser.

In retrospect, I should have used the fluidr link which has exif data:

My big concern was the lighting.  It was quite challenging getting it right, 
with a lot more bright reflections than I like.

Looking at the exif data you can see which ones I used the light as a strobe 
and which ones I just used the modeling light as a hot light.
