Oh Pshaw! Here's what you do: Shave your head. Wear sunglasses all the time, even inside. You may rest them on top of your freshly shorn head during the shoot if you want.
Wear all black. Or all white. With matching gaudy cowboy boots. Smoke Gitanes or Gauloises. Call the models "Baby" and tell them you love them. Shoot with a Canon with a big huge white lens. If they dare criticize your work, act terribly offended and hurt, tell them you're an Artiste and your work is Art. Tell them you'll never work with them again. Walk out of the room in a huff. You'll have models calling ~you~ after that. ;-) cheers, frank "What can be asserted without proof can be dismissed without proof." -- Christopher Hitchens --- Original Message --- From: Walt Gilbert <[email protected]> Sent: April 27, 2012 4/27/12 I guess one of the reasons I've been reluctant to press the issue when asked is the desire to manage expectations. There's a fine line between "under-promise and over-deliver" and talking yourself out of the job. I guess I'm just a little mortified at the thought of having someone take a chunk out of their weekend only to end up with photos that don't meet their expectations. I suppose I should probably have more confidence than I do -- I do manage to get some decent shots in difficult situations, after all. But, I just don't have the level of confidence in my work that allows me -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
