We've got a "couple times a month" blues dance venue on Sunday nights here in
Santa Cruz.
Last night we had a bit of a special night with a top ranked instructor, and a
live band. At one point, the organizer joined the band playing his sax for a
couple of songs.

For the most part, I was disappointed with my photos from the evening, my
camera did much better at focusing on microphones than it did on musicians.
Fortunately, the photos of Ryan turned out pretty well. It's also impressive
to me to note that this is at ISO 3200, my other favorite of the evening was at
ISO 4000:

The lighting was a double halogen shop light, off to "stage right", and there
was a black backdrop a few feet behind the band. I'm pretty pleased with the
way that things turned out, shooting from the lit side, and using my 77 to
limit the background to just the black backdrop.
