The only time I road in a GT350 as an adult was in the Summer of '92. I raced in Portland one weekend, flagged for a shelby club track event at PIR during the week, raced in Seattle the next Friday and Saturday, and flagged at a vintage race back in Portland that Sunday. I think it was during the shelby club event, maybe the vintage races, at lunch time, several of the drivers were giving rides to corner workers in their vintage race cars. The guy I was working the corner with, got a ride in a GT40, I don't think he was able to sleep on his belly for a week after that. I got a ride in a GT350, the theory was that you'd hop in, get two laps, and they'd come into the pits to give the next guy a ride. We start out the ride, with the driver kindly explaining the line to me. At some point he asks if I've ever been on the track. When I said, "I was racing here last weekend", he said that I should be coaching him instead.
