Elements is a *significant* downgrade from most versions of full
Photoshop, like CS5, CS4, CS3, I'd say. CS4 is way more capable than
PSE.

I'd have recommended you to save up a bit more cash and get Lightroom
instead. Lr + Ps CS4 would be a very powerful combo.
