Hi Joe,

For my equivocal 2c worth.

The image is formally beautiful, plus I love the texture of the grain, even though the pose and lighting was a bit odd for me. But my immediate thought was to connect it with this picture

Coincidentally, the Jeff Wall photo photo that sold at near record price last week week made me think about setups more.

I don't have a problem with the price the photo sold for. Nor do I have a problem with celebrity (even Canadian celebrity) photographers. But I do know the John Moore photo engaged with me on a deeper way than the Jeff Wall photo ever will. I'm not saying you shouldn't do setups in a cemetary or tragic scenes, but just that my visual image baggage will tag those photos involuntarily. Maybe I'm just free associating, but that was where thought train led.

D

PS, please use PESO/GESO subject lines, because that's how I sort out pics to look at.

Thanks to all who looked and gave me their thoughts..The details on the photo are, Kodak T-Max 3200asa pushed to 6400. The girl do not put her knees on the ground as the dirt ground was wet from the mist . She does have her hands in the Prayer format. The flashlight on the ground was used to focus as it was very dark. This is an old grave yard, goes back to the 1700's. The church is across a four lane road and is white. I shot it at this angle to include the church,This was shot with a Pentax MX ..Joe
