Hi All:
It turns out that Transcend had a flash memory card recall in 2011. http://www.amazon.com/Recall-for-Transcend-16GB-cards/forum/Fx1582F0BEFVSOF/Tx1LY8NRVHNYN0C/1?_encoding=UTF8&asin=B002WE4HE2 or http://goo.gl/Or017 A manufacturing process issue was blamed for a possible lockup during a transfer. I didn't see this showing up here, on PDML, while I know that some PDMLers use Transcend cards. My apologies if it was mentioned, but I missed it. What is interesting is that they say: "read/write blocking if the file size is over 4GB and the information on the card may not transfer." I don't know, but it probably should not affect anything related to typical photo cameras, as they use FAT format which limits the file size at about 4GB. (Unless the issue is related to just about 4GB.)
