All this talk of megapixels made me curious. A few days ago I took this photo of the Soda Fountain at a local museum. I processed the full size photo and a small detail the way I would typically share them on the web.
The original raw file is roughly 7200x4800 pixels. The jpeg version is about 15Mb. The shareable version of this and the detail shot are resized to 2000 pixels on the long side. The detail was originally a little over 800 pixels. The jpegs of these are around 1.5Mb. All three of them are here: <http://www.georgesphotos.net/Other/Megapixel-detail/23073037_TXJtHq> I didn't do anything out of the ordinary to them. They all got standard sharpening for the screen in the lightroom export. gs George Sinos -------------------- gsi...@gmail.com www.georgesphotos.net plus.georgesinos.com -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
