Like Kennyboy, RiceWhine is a pseudonym I use to keep from generating
traffic for someone I disapprove of. The actual name is Rice and a
synonym for being stoned. While claiming to be a Pentax user he seems
to know a lot more about the Canon camera line, it's been suggested he's
a plant, but why Canon would care enough to do that I have no idea.

Not familiar with this Mr RiceWhine. I Entered: Ricewhine.com and got the following:

If this is your subject, I take it we're all glad he may be gone.(?)

RiceWhine isn't a Pentax Fan, he's just the opposite. Even his favorable
reviews are full of snark.
More importantly his math sucks. His methods are shoddy, his conclusions are
suspect, and I suspect that his mother dresses him funny.
For example his conversion of a Pentax 40mm f2.8 to a Canon FF camera. He used
the latest, and most expensive, 40mm, (with cosmetics to complement the K-01),
and extolled it's virtues. Crap, the sample pictures were awful. That design
was always soft in the corners on 24x36mm format. He would have gotten better
results if he'd bought a used a M 40mm since it's pretty much the same optical
formula, and would have maintained full aperture capability. His experiment
proved nothing except his own shallowness, and lack of historical perspective.
The fact that the 40mm lens on a Canon camera looked particularly stupid is
beside the point.
I've been using Pentax since 1974. Sometimes Pentax decisions infuriate me,
sometimes mystify me. Criticizing Pentax is one of the things I do best. I
still find it annoying that Pentax dropped support for the mechanical meter
coupling on previous lenses. Even Nikon still allows that on the upper tier
cameras.

Well, I'm not among his fans, but will observe that (1) RiceWhine waits until
he has a camera in hand before reviewing it, and (2) he is willing--even
eager--to criticize Pentax, while Kennyboy thinks Nikon can do no wrong.

So I visited a few despised sites...
No link because I don't want to give him traffic, but RiceWhine makes Kennyboy
look like a super genius, or in other words, RiceWhine is an idiot. I can't
believe he's got a following. I really can't.
