"poutine" had escaped settling into my food vocabulary but now that i've checked what it's spoze to be, and seen the variant you present, i can say that i had Denver poutine just an hour ago at the dual launch of pomfreet.com and lowbrowdenver.com
the former is a food truck whose sole output is fries with stuff — the one i had was fries, copious veggie green chile (a tangy one) and jack cheese; closer to poutine than those thai curlicues
the latter is a gallery and store for those who like to to "decorate" the urban environment, particularly with knit goods
