Good shots! Some problems with busy distracting backgrounds, but as you get 
more comfortable you'll be able to set up the shots more deliberately.
I presume you've thought of this, but just in case, did you get one or more 
names? Can you track them down either via a return to their regular hangout(s) 
or by asking at the local bike store? Once you are in touch, give them the 
link, tell them you want to hang around, offer each one his/her choice of all 
the shots you post of them this year, to be presented as a framed 8x10 print . 
. . In other words, treat this the same way portrait photographers often do, 
with "free" prints to get their attention, to get their cooperation, and maybe 
even to get their requests to purchase additional prints. You've made an 
excellent start, and a long-term project could have stunning results.
