I'm working on one, Larry, and the spine text works for me. Just click to get the orange hightlight and type. The cursor doesn't go horizontal, but it works. Font is rather small by default, that that's easily changed.
Gee, it's so good not to have to re-export files into Booksmart each time you want a slightly different render.
