Beautiful Demoiselle is such an exotic and unusual name.

Glad you liked. And thanks to everyone else who commented. I would have 
preferred it a bit sharper but there was a breeze and that leaf wouldn't stay 
still. It was tough getting the focus to stay on that little guy.

Still, I'm pleased enough with the result. Those guys don't sit still for long 
so the fact I got anything is fortunate.

Nice shot - these are always elusive.I'm 99% certain that's a male Ebony 
Jewelwing, Calopteryx maculata. The females have small white spots at 
the tips of the wings. The only other possibility would be a River 
Jewelwing, but their wings are lighter at the base and only black in the 
outer half.
