Love those old buildings. They are fast disappearing. That one seems to have been very well maintained or restored.
Very sharp, detailed and beautifully rendered photo. It was the home of a large department store chain for several decades. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in early eighties. The exterior has been restored and the interior has been converted to condos, office and retail space. I selected this detail shot for the printing project because of the shadow over the window, the details in the window blinds and stone work, and the reflections of the much newer building in the window. Depending on your monitor, you'll see varying levels of detail in the shade above the window. In the print, the upper left of the window shade is almost pure black, transitioning to a grid pattern in the lower white. This photo certainly is no work of art, but it does record a different form of art that we don't see in modern buildings. gs George Sinos -------------------- [email protected] www.georgesphotos.net plus.georgesinos.com -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
