I took this photo in 2009. The contrast between sun and deep shadow was what originally drew my eye. Lightroom 4's new process engine brings much more detail out of the shadow areas and this actually made a very nice print. I'll warn you ahead of time, if your monitor is not properly adjusted you're not going to see the detail in the photo. If it's too bright (probably) the highlights will be washed out.
