I'd be inclined to agree... I shoot at 400 by default on my K10D. Early on I took some test shots and I only noticed significant degradation above 400. After years of attempting to shoot handheld macro on 100 ISO film, being able to get such a clean image at 400 (compared to film) has made a huge difference. Not to mention trying to use long glass handheld.
