The K5 was developing that mirror/shutter problem, where it just clicks and won't function. It only happened a few times. I believe the battery was fully charged two of those times, and it was very hot the other time. I also noticed the shutter got louder on occasion. So I thought it was time to get it fixed. I think it has more than 30,000 frames, and I have a three day, all-day shoot coming up in August in what will probably be very hot weather. Both of my 540s were having problems with battery contact, even after cleaning, and one had an inoperative zoom, so I sent them both in. They have had a lot of use as well.
