Yes, it will be a good way to show off your photos. I use my Toshiba Thrive tablet for that purpose. It's like having a portfolio (in fact, the tablet seems to have become the de facto portfolio of our era) with dozens or hundreds of photos available in a format that's much easier to carry about than a print portfolio. This means you can have it with you most of the time and be ready to show at a moment's notice.
