I find that image quite effective and pleasing. There is nice contrast between the smoothness of the sand or mud and the rough texture of the large dark rock mass on the right. I also like the way the left-pointing wedge of the rock on the right is complemented by the right-pointing distant land masses and cloud bank in the left distance.
