fun story and nice shot... not just "a photo of a bike" .. might burn in the sidewalk a bit - but that's a nit

CCM used to be Canada's top bicycle manufacturer. Now they source cheap
foreign-made bikes and stick their decals on them. Or to be more accurate have
the factory in Asia stick the decals on for them. They haven't made or even
assembled a bike in this country for a long time.

Remember the Schwinn Stingray back in the sixties (for those of you that old)? It was the
original "chopper" with hi-rise bars and a banana seat. Shortly after it came
out CCM released their version, the Mustang. A year or so after that they came out with
the Scrambler with its funky dual top tube that curved into the seat stays.

I wanted one so bad! Alas my parents, practical creatures that they were, bought me a standard
26" wheel "gentleman's bicycle" complete with East European Sturmy-Archer
knock-off three speed gears (which I promptly stripped as no one taught me how to properly
shift).

So yesterday as I approached Capital Expresso for my after-work iced americano
there was this vintage CCM Scrambler, the bike of my childhood dreams, complete
with kickstand:

Sorry about the long post but this bike really took me down memory lane.

Hope you enjoy. Comments always welcome.
