Spring has already sprung around in deepest south Texas. And since I'm on Spring Break this week, I have an extra long weekend. Thanks to the very kind Doug Brewer of Kentucky I have an almost new ZX-5N with 28-70/4 and 50/2 to shoot up the week.
Today I took a trip to the Gladys Porter Zoo with family, friends, and perfect weather. I'm awaiting the results from the lab and will share as soon as I can steal time on a scanner. Maybe tomorrow or Friday I will head to Laguna Atascosa NWR, renown for ridiculous numbers of migrating birds and the elusive ocelot.
