Whether Indian or West Indian, I feel for the lack of such cuisine in your
area. I love the stuff!
I sympathise as well, I love Indian food. We have loads of Indian restaurants
/ takeaways here.
But it's hard to beat home-made.
I have a very good Indian cookbook and I usually make something from
it at least once a week.
It's nice to be able to adapt the recipes to your taste (eg a vindaloo
without any heat).
Great, now I'm hungry :)

Um I thought Vindaloo, but its nature, was the equivalent of hot...
at least on what New Yorkers call Indian restaurant street (a block from
me) where a friend of mine used to order things "vindaloo" no matter
what the name of the dish was.. I'd make sure mine was "very very mild".
Now I'm hungry too
