        I have the Optio 430.

Not the Optio.  Aperture is EITHER max2.6-4.8 or 5.0-9.2
i.e. there are two apertures and the value is dependant on the focal length
used.
if you shine a light into the lens you can see the 'disc' snap into place.

Focus is min 0.46ft
