HI Derby -

I bought the IR Converted K10 off eBay in late 2010. I've posted a few rounds of IR photos since then - to be honest, I use it much less than I expected I would. The K10D is great, but the banding issue raises it's head now and then. In my experiences witht he regular K10D, this was a rare problem, and it has been rare with the IR converted camera.

Click on their IR conversions link. IIRC - Back when I got mine they did three kinds of conversions - B&W, Standard (muted colors that required tweaking or could be converted to B&W) and high color. Those are my terms - not theirs. It looks like they only do B&W now. My K10D is a standard conversion - I manually set the white balance off green foliage and then swap the red and blue channels to get the colors as they are.

My job had me out of town longer than I expected this week, so I'm behind on working on my St. Louis photos and reading messages here. I classified this as street photography since it was public urban place and the street was close by...

IR COnverted Pentax K10D with  18-55 lens.
