Hi,
my friend has this camera and when I told him that most Pentax
models use the same focusing screen size and thickness, from manual
focus bodies to the latest AF body, and that you can e.g. put an LX
screen in MX, even put MZ-M manual focus aid screen in MZ-5n or
Pz1p or SFXn or whatever (even the bodies with non-interchangeable
screens like MZ5n have mostly the screen frame not spring-opening
but held by screws which are easy to undone). He instantly bought a
part C74 screen (MZ-M's) which is to be much better than his
SuperA's native screen, and is struggling with the exchange. It
seems from what info I gathered that the SuperA/Program is a
notable exception to the easy interchange of screens :( IIRC the
screen is glued to a metal frame which is held by screws. On most
other pentaxes the screen is just put in the frame which is held by
screws and it is removable from the mirror box, without any major
   disass.

Anybody knows how to do it with the Super A? He told me there are
some screws but he apparently can't get it out, he thinks these are
just positioning screws for focus adjustment. So, please, what's
the way to remove the screen/frame on the Super A ?

And if he removes it, do you think the MZ-M or perhaps an LX (which
is physically slightly bigger, so it's an exception that it won't
fit the later AF bodies, but vice versa it fits) screen will fit?

   Thanks!

Good light,
 Frantisek Vlcek

P.S.: sorry I know I asked this and got some replies earlier, but I
lost portions of my pdml archive :(
