The good news is I heard back from profoto and got the info I need to buy a new modeling bulb.
They even sent me a copy of a pdf of a manual that should tell me how to remove the glass cover: I've posted a copy of the manual here: http://red4est.com/lrc/temp/pro-5.pdf Unfortunately it seems that the "glass bulb" is actually the flash bulb assembly, and despite the pro-5 manual referring to locking pins for it, they are not visible or accessible on the pro-40. I've got some pictures here: http://www.flickriver.com/photos/ellarsee/sets/72157630857713502/ Email from profoto: Begin forwarded message: > From: info macgroup <[email protected]> > Date: August 1, 2012 10:49:24 AM PDT > To: Larry Colen <[email protected]> > Subject: RE: Profoto Customer Service Inquiry > > Larry: > > We do not have much information on the Pro 40, but this should help. > > The bulb's catalog number was #10 20 06.
