Still a good catch in spite of the feeder "post", Dave.
We have what are called "Scrub Jays" here in northern Calif.. Coloring 
and personalities are much like those we experienced in Iowa, but there have no 
top knot.
Noisy, intimidating, raucous, bullies.

Not getting a lot of blue jay shots this year. pretty much like the
others i have taken in the past.

I saw a potential for a bit of a struggle at one of the feeders so i
just pre focused on the feeder and managed to get this shot. I would
have liked it better if the bird was more off the post, but i had no
control over that.:-)
