The K30 is more likely positioned as a replacement for the Kr, the entry level camera. The K5 replacement should be an upgrade, not a downgrade. I expect better autofocus, better flash control, and autofocus video with stereo sound. I don't see higher resolution, because I don't think that can be done without losing high ISO capability. But I could be wrong. Full frame would be nice, but I'd rate it as not likely, given the lens lineup. But nothing is impossible. Paul
