There are so many factors to be considered that while it may be one of the
edible ones (and the edible boletes are delicious) best not to
gather mushrooms yourself (not that you would). Even safe ones
(i.e., the very few species that could never be confused with anything else)
could be a problem depending on where you find them, proximity to highways,
on lawns chemically treated, etc.
