I've pretty much always had lightroom setup to import photos into specified subdirectories. I'll have the target directory be, for example, /Volumes/ezdoc2tb_01/photo/pictures2011b. Then each time I do a shoot I'll save it to a subdirectory, for example 120827_cruz_blues. A couple days ago, I imported a few files that were already on the hard drive, so rather than doing a "copy" on the import, I did an "add". Of course, as soon as I go back to doing a "copy" off an SD card, lightroom resets everything to its defaults. Which are wrong. Wrong hard drive, wrong directory etc. I set everything back, but now rather than importing to the subdirectory, it imports all the photos to the top directory, in this case pictures_2011b. I've got the checkbox next to "Import to subdirectory" checked, but it still doesn't put the files in the subdirectory.
Is there something very simple and obvious that I'm missing? Or is lightroom broken in some novel and interesting way? -- Larry Colen [email protected] sent from i4est -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net to UNSUBSCRIBE from the PDML, please visit the link directly above and follow the directions.
