Subject: PESOs cruz blues

At the local blues/fusion dance last night I talked Brandon into changing the
color of the LED spots from blue to blue+red (magenta?). Unfortunately there's
no way to control the colors of individual spots. The lighting is still
challenging, but rather than trying to fight it into submission, I pushed it a
bit harder and got what I think are some fun shots.

Here are two of my favorites. Interestingly it's the same leader in both of
them. Israel is new to blues dancing, being primarily a tango dancer. Julie
(in the first one) is one of the local "old guard" lindy hoppers.

Israel's "tango lines" really come out in this silhouette:

For those that want to wade through thousands of, or 21 anyways, photos, the

By the way, for the locals, this venue is at 418 Front Street, behind the
recently reopened India Joze. I never got into going to the first iteration of
India Joze, but I will say that the food at the new, much smaller, venue is
both creative and excellent. The cook can even be convinced to make dishes
spicy, even for white guys.
