Hi, Pat, I don't disagree with anything you say. No, I haven't checked out International Camera, but I certainly will. I do check with Vistek, Henry's, Downtown, Aden and the pawn shops in the Queen/Church area on a regular basis - at least twice a month or more. The selection of Pentax lenses (including 3rd party) is small, and the bargains are few and far between. When I saw a Hanimex (yuck!) zoom at Downtown for something like $175 CDN, I couldn't believe it!
While I'm waiting for the lens I want at I price I think is reasonable (doesn't necessarily mean cheap - depends on the lens), I figure a $20US Soligor zoom will suffice. I don't think they're as bad a lens as you seem to think - of course I could be wrong. But thanks for the advice, especially about International. BTW, it was great meeting you at the Toronto get-together a coupla weeks ago! regards, frank Pat White wrote: > Frank, I can see putting really cheap lenses on an old Praktica or something, but >you've got an MX!
