Just at a guess: compare it to the price of a working S3 or S1a?
'Cause a Spotmatic minus its meter is basically a S3 that doesn't
balance _quite_ as well in my hands, plus a flash shoe.
(OTOH, the apparently non-working meter in my Spotmatic suddenly
started working one day. I still haven't figured that out. Maybe
the first two or three batteries I tried were all bad? Dunno.)
