Quoting Derby Chang <[email protected]>:

Good idea, Brian,

I'd for one would be up for a Day in a life of Spottie, I should exercise mine more. 2014 does seem a long way away, though. True, 1964 was when the Spot-Matic was first presented. But then Asahiflex was first released in 1952, which makes it a diamond anniversary this year.

We might struggle to get many Asahiflex users, though :-)>

I have a IIb - my pride and joy. It's beautifully made but they're delicate little possums and I'm not sure I'd like to test out its 60 year old shutter too seriously.

Cheers

Brian

PS. I've still got a few film cameras and most still work. Actually Steve's given me the germ of an idea - perhaps we should have a special PUG in 2014 to celebrate the Spotmatic's 50th Anniversary (assuming you can still buy film in 2014...)

Cheers

Brian
