Having you on the list certainly makes us fanboys dance with glee as you tell
us of the downfall of your Nikon gear.
Anyone have any Canon complaints? We'd love to hear them! :)
The D2H was a rare case for Nikon - lots of reliability problems from
the word go. It disappeared from their lineup fairly quickly, as I
recall. I had onother friend who bought one and who let me try it out
at GFM. It was an absolute joy to work with but its limited resolution
(4 megapixels) and reliability problems (which remain problems from a
customer confidence standpoint, even it they're totally solved later)
spelled its quick demise.
Didn't the D2H have a Nikon sensor because Nikon was worried about
having to rely on Sony making sensors available. There was some
accusation that Sony manipulating the availability of sensors to the
detriment of their competitors.
Wasn't it the same issue that led Pentax to choosing Samsung sensors for
the K10D/K20D.
