Beautiful run of weather lately, and being a long weekend made it even nicer. Continuing on my project of revisiting little-used lenses, I took the Avenon 21mm/2.8 out for a walk. Used to be one of my favourites, but since acquiring the formidable Zeiss 21mm/2.8, I've hardly touched the Avenon. It might be the weak coating, or it might be lashings of spherical aberration, this lens has a lot of "glow", especially when shooting contre-jour. But it really gives it character. Matched with the equally-fun Epson R-D1s, the combo is a good reminder to me that I don't need to be on the technological bleeding edge.
As it happens, I also hit the generous (not) limit of space allocated by my ISP for the website, so I razed it to the ground and started anew. Still work in progress, so please excuse the plaster dust. Not quite sure why the little prev/next arrows don't come up when hovering over the pics, so click on the left or right of the large images to navigate.
