I've never used the FA 28 or FA 35, but the 31 Limited is a superb lens.
It's the sharpest Pentax wide angle I've ever seen. It also sharper on
wider apertures than other Pentax lenses I've used. It does show some quite
heavy light fall-off at the corners at wider apertures and a certain sweet
spot in the center of the images in sharpness at those wide apertures.
Although its not as sharp wide open as stopped down, it could still be
considered sharp at F: 1.8 - much sharper at F:1.8 than I've seen in other
lenses. At F:2.8 the lens is very sharp. It is significantly sharper than
the 43 Limited at apertures wider than F:4. Although I haven't made any
side by side comparisons, I expect the 31 Limited to be sharper as the 43
Limited at apertures smaller than F:11 as well.
