I don't know how you lasted a month!  At home, I boil water and pour
it through the electric drip coffee maker.  Not very satisfactory.

Here, if you get a public adjuster who differs from the carrier's,
they demand arbitration, which is expensive and usually results in a
compromise.  I had one case where, after the arbitrators set a
compromise amount, they said they would appeal unless we agreed to a
25% reduction of that amount.  Most people just can't afford to fight
them unless the claim is quite large.
