Yes, the dog kept us home to some extent. Lee might have gone to a friend's in Baltimore or another friend's in Massachusetts, but not with the dog. Plus, the gas situation made it a bit risky. I had to stay here for business reasons, and it would have been difficult to do that and take care of Bandit by myself.
My son lives within 10 mile of our home, and two blocks of my office, and he never lost power. We were able to go there to keep warm, watch TV, make dinner and access the internet in the evening, but we returned home each night to sleep, piling on 5 or 6 covers of various types and thicknesses. It would have bee tougher without access to my son's apartment, that's for certain.
