It looks like, as usual, your excellent eye has found a great subject
(an older lady texting, I assume from the title) in a great setting with
flat lighting and perfect for black & white. It looks like it would have
been a good photo with film or digital or lomo or PP'd in any number of
ways and I plain wish I had taken it. I'm not saying that you weakened
it with what you did. Indeed it may be more art than photo this way; so
in that sense improved. But in some ways the treatment you used obscured
the subject IMHO. Darn now you have made me compliment you twice.
