I'm not so sure about Windows 8, but I've got to give Apple credit for
making the touch-screen popular.  Hewlett-Packard had a whole bunch of
touch screen laptops, but couldn't get any customer sell-thru. (2-4
years ago)  Apple did this new technology and now everyone is trying
to capitalize on it.  Sometimes it doesn't pay to be on the leading
edge - poor H-P.
