Adobe claim that only people with a pre-existing CS2 license are legally entitled to download & install this software.
While that may be their intent, there's some doubt as to whether they would be able to enforce this - apparently the license that comes with these downloads only states that you must have obtained the software from Adobe. In any case, that's pretty much academic - the software can be installed, and apparently runs just fine (though not on recent Macs, and there is some question as to whether it works on 64-bit Windows 7).
